Margaret's custom wedding gown. Margaret commissioned this gown and we collaborated on a timeless design that felt natural and elegant. I draped, pattered, and stitched this gown. We chose a gorgeous buttery cream silk charmeuse for fabric. The gown has a lightly boned bodice and 3 skirt layers. photo by @maggiehowardphoto

Wedding Gown re-work for Toya. Toya’s mother and Toya found the gown in their attic - it had been donated to them years ago. The gown fit pretty well on the first try. She wanted to make the dress strapless with a dipped back. 💐 I patterned and made an inner bodice with boning, removed the top and sleeves and used the pieces to trickle the lace around the back of the gown to frame the new bodice shape. I fluffed out the skirt with a few layers of gathered tulle. Christine Ashburn Photo.

A detail we all loved were the rusted rhinestone settings. The lace and fabric had faded to a warm cream over the years. It was an honor to give this vintage gown a second life. Christine Ashburn Photo
